The takbir was the most fortunate remembrance of all in Islam, because the verbal form indicated it and the frequent command to it.
Praise be to God, and may blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of God, his family, his companions, and those who follow him, and after:
Takbir is a standard infinitive, a flow that occurs little by little and does not happen all at once. From a verb to make big, it is made big on the form of a verb, which means multiplication and exaggeration, and it means transgression, becoming, and obedience, and it means removing and plundering, and it means ascribing something to the root of the verb and directing to it, and an article [ك ب ر] It is taken from the word “pride” by breaking greatness, as well as pride, and therefore it is synonymous in the language with the verbs: add, increase, magnify, increase, double, magnify, magnify, and magnify. The terminology is takbeer to glorify God by saying: God is great, to worship Him, and to feel His glorification. Takbir has two legal meanings: the first is to say “God is great.” The second is to make my heart require God to be free of shortcomings and to affirm His perfect attributes. However, the effect of this making must be apparent externally in word and deed, as the apparent and the hidden are bound together. God is greater in reality and meaning, greater in Himself and His names and attributes than all things. The Almighty said: {(And they did not value God as He deserves, while the entire earth is in His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens are folded in His right hand. Glory be to Him, Most High above what they associate with Him.)In order for this belief to be correct on your part, for this testimony to be confirmed, for this action to be accepted, and for this affirmation to be valid, the worship of God must be greater in your view than anything else. God Almighty said: {(Recite what has been revealed to you from the Book and perform prayer. Indeed, prayer forbids indecency and evil, and the remembrance of God is greater, and God knows what you do.)} It fulfills the pillars of sincerity and follow-up, and in saying “Allahu Akbar” is proof of His greatness, for pride includes greatness, but pride is more complete, and therefore God has designated the word “Allahu Akbar” with whatever characteristics of honor and legislation He willed, so this takbir is the most blessed and appreciated of the remembrances in Islam because of what it carries. Of its meanings and characteristics, and because it contains the meanings of glorification, praise, and praise, this is because preference entails a decrease from others, and the one who is lacking is not deserving. To the divinity, and proving the greatness, pride, and perfection of God necessitates worshiping and exalting Him, so takbir is oneness and faith, speech, belief and deed. Ibn Taymiyyah says: (So takbir is also prescribed to repel the enemy from the devils of mankind and the jinn, and fire, which is an enemy to us. All of this shows that takbir is permissible in major situations due to the large number of The combination, or the greatness of the action, or the strength of the situation, or other major matters, to show that God is greater and His pride takes over There is great pride in the hearts of these matters, so the entire religion is for God, and the servants are glorified by Him, and two goals are achieved for them: the purpose of worship is to magnify their hearts for God, and the purpose of seeking help is to submit all demands to his pride. This is why glorification is prescribed for guidance, sustenance, and victory, because these three are the greatest things a servant can ask for, and they are All of His interests) God is Greatest means that God glorifies monotheism in His lordship, in His worship, in His names and attributes, and in His universal decree and in His law and command, and takbir is a declaration of the greatness of God, and submission to His pride in the hearts and limbs. The stronger the servant’s knowledge and knowledge that God is Great, the more fear, awe, glorification, love, good worship, and pleasure of obedience increase in him. The most eloquent expression among the Arabs in its meaning of veneration and reverence is: Allah is the Greatest.(Say, “Which thing is greater than testimony?” Say, “Allah.”)} He introduced the word of Majesty “God” over the predicate “greatest,” so the specification benefited him because the benefit is more general, because increasing the specificity necessitates the completeness of the benefit, so the subject must be restricted to its predicate so that God Almighty is singled out for greatness and not anyone else. Therefore, the intended deletion was “God is greater than everyone else.” Ibn Hajar, may God have mercy on him, said about the takbir: “It is a common remembrance at every serious matter, and at every incident.” Happiness, thanks to God Almighty, and his acquittal from everything attributed to him by his enemies.” And glorifying Him, Glory be to Him, is comprehensive to affirm all of His perfection and to be free from every shortcoming and defect, and to single Him out and single Him out for that, and to glorify and glorify Him, for He is too great to be mentioned with anything other than praise, glorification, and good praise. As for the ruling on takbir in terms of belief, all scholars agreed that it is an individual obligation for those who are accountable, during and outside prayer, because takbir is an act of purity and glorification for God Almighty, and it is obligatory at all times and conditions, and because God Almighty commanded it, saying { (By your Lord, so magnify)} Ibn al-Arabi said: (And this saying, even though it generally requires the takbir of the prayer, is what is meant by it: takbir, sanctification, and exaltation.) He presented the object to the agent in it, which is the verb, so it indicates specificity, meaning {(By your Lord, so magnify)} That is, magnifying it by monotheism, and the basic principle in the matter that is devoid of presumption is that it is obligatory, and takbir and remembrance are not achieved except by the word that matches the belief, because the word is the template of the meaning, and what is required is the tongue’s statement by mentioning the word of His Majesty while avoiding shortcomings and showing that. If belief is obligatory, then the word indicating it is obligatory, so takbir is obligatory. Tawhid is one of the most obligatory duties, and takbeer is an obligatory charity for every human being, but in abundance of it such that it dominates the tongue, it remains It is a delegate and an opportunity for competition among the many, and those who are alone will prevail in it if there are no obstacles to doing it or something that is more obligatory or better is competing with it.
God is Great is a great and powerful sentence. If Satan hears it, he becomes belittled, contemptible, and contemptible. The pride of the mighty suppresses Satan’s aggression, and when the ghouls wander, they hasten to say “Allahu Akbar,” because “Allahu Akbar” is a remembrance of the sublime, and a great act of worship. God called His servants to it and encouraged them to do so. By God’s magnification and glorification, the afflictions are dissolved and the calamities are removed. Engagements, worries are lifted, and clouds dissipate. By glorifying and exalting God, life becomes clear, and the disease is healed. Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, said: (The servant’s saying: God is greater is better than the world and all that is in it) The virtues of takbir are many, including that it is the most beloved and best speech to God. God has chosen it for His angels and His servants, a garden from Hell in which God removes sins, even if they are many, and a means of earning good deeds and a planting for Paradise. Heavy on the scale, light on the tongue, and one of the best things a servant will bring on the Day of Resurrection. It is prayer, remembrance, and worship for which the gates of heaven will open and will not end, but will remain in Paradise. God praised his family, raised their remembrance and status, and made it an aid to them in patience and the removal of distress. With it, hearts are reassured and evidence of Islam and submission. There is nothing better than them. Their takbir is equivalent to spending money, fighting the enemy, and enduring the night. It suffices for reciting the Qur’an for those who cannot do any of it, and the best takbir is that which is accompanied by another remembrance. Such as saying (God is the greatest, God is the greatest, there is no god but God, and God is the greatest, God is the greatest, and to God is praise. As for the status of takbeer in belief, it is the origin of monotheism in all its forms, because it is denial and affirmation, and it is a legitimate praise that requires faith. Rather, it is its origin and increases with its increase, and it is one of the indications of good belief that is not valid without it, for no one describes God with shortcomings and defects except those who are his enemies or ignorant of it, and it is also indicative of the greatest attributes of God Almighty, the Great, the Arrogant, the Transcendent, the One free from shortcomings. And the partner, and from everything that does not befit divinity, and the Holy One, peace and purification from everything that is not befitting divinity.
The takbir was the most fortunate remembrance in Islam of all, because the verb form indicates it and the large number of commands to it. The monotheist says takbir to his Lord every day and night approximately 400 takbirs. You will find the takbir taking up all of the conditions of the servant in time and place, restricted and absolute, so he says takbir at the beginning of the call to prayer and the iqama and during them. And when hearing them, at the beginning of the prayer and during it, in many Hajj and Umrah rituals, in the prayer for rain, in The two Eids and during their sermons, when ascending to high places and riding, when slaughtering, when sleeping and when waking up from it, when fearing and when fighting, when seeing the crescent moon and when an eclipse or an eclipse, when wondering and rejoicing, when seeing a fire. Indeed, some people of knowledge said: All acts of worship are waived. From them except the remembrance of God, and that is because it is the goal of their enjoyment in Paradise, and that as they used to do this a lot in this world, it will increase them in Paradise because they see the increase of God’s blessings upon them.
The takbir that is considered legally valid is not just the belief that God is greater than everything. This is a truth that God testified to Himself and His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, testified to, as in a hadith ((«He said: What should I rub? To say: God is great. Do you know anything greater than God? He said: I said: No»)) Rather, takbir means keeping hearts, thoughts, beliefs, deeds, and words away from attributing to God shortcomings, faults, representations, or likenesses, while glorifying and glorifying Him, affirming His perfect attributes and the praises for which He is to be praised, and acting according to the requirements of these meanings. Submission and compliance are evidence of the validity of takbir.
