Our Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, strongly warned against delving into God’s money without right, and what is meant is the general money of Muslims. The Prophet attributed it to God Almighty in order to preserve its sanctity and to discourage anyone from disposing of it unlawfully, even if it was for a few dirhams.
God Almighty forbade giving foolish people – such as unaware children – money left to them by their parents such that they do not manage it well. God Almighty said: {And do not give to fools your wealth, which God has made for you as a means of protection}, God Almighty called this money “your money”, in the end it is the money of the Muslim community, and wasting it will bring harm to Muslims in general, since they are one nation.
God Almighty has made it clear that this money (may God make it for you to be established), for it is through it that the nation is established, meaning it is like its backbone. His waste breaks her back.
Therefore, God magnified the importance of money, made its preservation one of the five necessities, and deposited bounties in Muslim countries to be the property of the Islamic nation to be strengthened by them.
With money, succession is achieved on earth, religious obligations and charitable deeds are fulfilled, the needs of the hungry and sick are met, the nation is freed from the humiliating need of other nations, it strengthens itself in the face of its enemies and repels their aggression, and it saves humanity from enslavement to servants and dependence on the whims of corruptors.
Our Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, strongly warned against delving into God’s money unjustly. What is meant is the general money of Muslims. This is all waste and waste, so what if it was more than that?!
