When we lose moral balance in our lives
When young people confuse absolute leniency with constant severity, their concepts and standards are lost, so their lives are between extremism, weakness, or leniency. Then they judge others without being confident, so mercy, gentleness, and good faith are lost. Our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, was the people who most closely adhered to the truth and had the greatest mercy in his dealings with the wrong and the negligent. It was stated in Sahih Al-Bukhari: “The Bedouins He urinated in the mosque, and the people rose up to him and attacked him, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to them: Leave him alone, and spill some water in his urine – or a log of water – because it is… “You were sent to facilitate, and you were not sent to make it difficult.” He, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, did not scold him, but rather taught him gently, and kindness was the reason for changing his behavior..
The moral balance is:
To combine steadfastness in principles and flexibility in dealing, so do not give up on the truth, and do not lose your humanity in defending it. God Almighty said:﴿And thus We made you a moderate nation﴾[Al-Baqarah: 143], Moderation here includes morals and behavior, so do not show complacency at the expense of values, and do not weaken in the face of societal pressure. God Almighty said:﴿O you who have believed, be upholding justice.﴾[An-Nisa: 135], Ethics are not courtesy, but rather an honorable attitude.
O blessed young man,The one who is balanced in his morals appears in difficult situations. It is easy to be polite with those who love you, but the real challenge is to be polite with those who mistreat you. He, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The one who connects is not the one who rewards, but the one who connects ties is the one who connects them when his ties of kinship are severed.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari.
My brother,When we lose moral balance in our lives, the following occurs: First: internal turmoil and loss of tranquility, so the young man feels anxious and upset.
Second:Fluctuations in behavior and personality; Sometimes he is honest, sometimes lenient, sometimes firm and sometimes weak, until he loses his stability and becomes: an unclear personality.
Third:Loss of trust in others; Because morality is the basis of trust, when people see you as contradictory, volatile, or inconsistent on principle, they gradually lose trust in you.
Fourth:Justifying the mistake instead of correcting it, when the moral balance is lost: The young man does not admit his mistake, but rather begins to justify it, such as: lying and then saying: “Everyone does that.”
Fifth:Gradually slipping into deviation until he is unable to distinguish between right and wrong.
Sixth:Damage to family and social relationships; Because loss of moral balance leads to poor treatment with parents, poor respect, and superficial or tense relationships.
Seventh:Loss of self-esteem, which is the most dangerous result when a person looks at himself and does not respect himself.
Eighth:Easily affected by pressure. A morally unbalanced person changes according to the environment, is affected by any opinion, and does not have internal stability..
O blessed one,Moral balance is not weakness, but rather the highest level of strength. Because its foundation is: stability in values and flexibility in style. So do not lose yourself in order to please others, and do not give up your values for the sake of a passing situation. Morals are not an appearance, but rather your true identity..
