Descriptions of the Holy Quran (18)
﴿The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it.﴾
Praise be to God who made the Qur’an a cure for what is in the breasts, and enlightened many minds with it, so they were illuminated by its light and guided by its guidance, so it was written for them. The farmer. We praise Him greatly, and thank Him even more. I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, without any partner. He revealed the Qur’an in Ramadan, and made it the month of the Qur’an, so the mosques are filled with it during Tarawih prayers and prayers, and the worshipers recite it throughout the prayers. I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Every Ramadan, he would show the Qur’an to Gabriel one time, until the last Ramadan of his life, he would show it twice, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. May peace and blessings be upon him and his family, companions and followers until the Day of Judgment.
As for next: So fear God Almighty and obey Him, and make the most of what remains of Ramadan. A third has passed and two thirds remain, and it will quickly come to an end for the unjust and the negligent, and the difference between them in wages and grades. ﴿ And the previous ones * Those who are close ﴾ [الْوَاقِعَةِ: 10-11].
O people: God Almighty sent down the Qur’an so that believers may worship by reciting it and acting upon it, so that their hearts may be reformed thereby, and their souls purified thereby. The Qur’an influences hearts, so they become humble, submit to the command of God Almighty, and refrain from His prohibitions. Hoping for the reward he has, and fearing punishment. One of the characteristics of the Qur’an is that it is a book of humility and affection. ﴿ God has sent down the best of hadith, a book that is similar and repeated, from which the skins of those who fear their Lord shiver, then their skins and hearts soften until Remembrance of God ﴾ [الزُّمَرِ: 23]. So God Almighty described the people who fear Him, Glory be to Him, that when they recite the Qur’an, their skins shudder, meaning: they are struck by a trembling of Fear and panic, and the reason for that is the threat and threat in the Qur’an to the disobedient and the arrogant; So he who fears God Almighty is afraid when he comes across the signs of the threat; Because of his belief in the Qur’an, his certainty that the promise of God Almighty is true, and his knowledge that his torment is painful and severe; Because it is the torment of the Powerful, the Conquering, the Mighty, the Mighty, to whom nothing on earth or in heaven can fail, and it is a torment by fire – which is more severe. Torment – These are many types mentioned in the Qur’an in describing their torture, dragging them on their faces, and explaining their food and drink. And their clothing, from which the hearts of the humble are terrified. Then their skins and hearts soften at the remembrance of God Almighty. That is when they read the verses of hope, and what they contain of the abundant mercy of the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and His pardon for the mistakes of sinners, and His repentance for those who repent, and His forgiveness for those who seek forgiveness, and His giving to those who ask, and His answer to those who supplicate, so they find comfort in that, and their hope is greater in May God make us, our parents, and our loved ones among its people.
This fluctuation that the reader of the Qur’an experiences between fear and hope; It happens to anyone who ponders the Qur’an, and this is what a believer should do, that he lives his life between fear and hope. So he fears his sins, and hopes for the mercy of his Lord, Glory be to Him.
No believer in the Qur’an will doubt that it affects his heart when he reads it or hears it with contemplation, as God Almighty has told us that If the Qur’an had been revealed on a mountain, it would have crumbled for fear of God Almighty: If We had sent down this Qur’an on a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and falling apart for fear of God. Did you ponder his book? For this reason, God Almighty said: We give these examples to the people so that they may think.
The most virtuous of this blessed nation were those whose skins shivered when they read and heard the Qur’an, and their hearts ached and shed tears. Their eyes. Their role model in this regard is the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abdullah bin Al-Shakheer, may God be pleased with him, narrated: “I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and there was a buzzing in his chest like the grinding of a millstone from crying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.” Narrated by Abu Dawud and authenticated by Ibn Khuzaymah. And Ibn Hibban. Ibn Masoud recited Surat An-Nisa to him. Ibn Masoud said: “Until I came to this verse: So how if We bring from every nation a witness and bring you as a witness against these? ﴾ [النِّسَاءِ: 41]He said: It’s enough for you now, So I turned to him and saw that his eyes were shedding tears.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari. One time, he recited the saying of God Almighty regarding Abraham: My Lord, they have misled many people, so whoever follows me is of me. ﴾ [إِبْرَاهِيمَ: 36] The verse. Jesus, peace be upon him, said: If You punish them, then they are Your servants, and if You forgive them, then You are the Mighty, the Wise. ﴾ [الْمَائِدَةِ: 118]Then he raised his hands and said: Oh God, my nation, my nation, and he cried…” Narrated by Muslim.
His companions, may God be pleased with them, followed the approach of his, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, of humility and shivers on the skin when reading the Qur’an. Asma’ bint Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with them, was asked: “How did the Companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, act if it was read to them? The Qur’an? She said: They were as God Almighty described them, with tears in their eyes and chills on their skins. Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him, was called the sword because of his much crying out of fear of God Almighty. At the beginning of Islam, he built a mosque. In the courtyard of his house he would pray in it. Aisha, may God be pleased with her, said: “…and he would pray in it and recite the Qur’an, and the women of the polytheists would stand over him.” And their children marveled at him and looked at him. Abu Bakr was a crying man who could not control his eyes when he read. The Qur’an.” Narrated by Al-Bukhari. When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, fell ill, he said: “They saw Abu Bakr leading the people in prayer. Aisha said: I said: If Abu Bakr took your place, he would not make people cry.“Narrated by Al-Bukhari.
As for Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, Abdullah bin Issa Al-Ansari said: “There were two black lines on Omar’s face. From crying,” and Abdullah bin Shaddad said: “I heard Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, sobbing while I was in the last rows. And he was reciting Surat Yusuf when he reached puberty: He said, “I only complain of my grief and sadness to God.” ﴾ [يُوسُفَ: 86]».
Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari, may God be pleased with him, used to say: “When he recited: O man, what has deceived you about your Most Generous Lord? ﴾ [الِانْفِطَارِ: 6] He said: He means ignorance, and he cried, when he recited: Do you take him and his descendants as friends besides me, and they are your enemies? ﴾ [الْكَهْفِ: 50] He mourned”.
Ibn Abi Mulaika said: “I accompanied Ibn Abbas from Mecca to Medina. When he came down, he would stand up for half the night and ask him Ayoub: How was his reading? He said: He read And the intoxication of death has come. Indeed, that is what you were shunning from. ﴾ [ق: 19]Then he began to chant, and there was a lot of sobbing at that.”
On the authority of Ibn Umar, may God be pleased with them both, that: “Whenever he came to this verse” Has not the time come for those who believe that their hearts should be humbled at the remembrance of God? ﴾ [الْحَدِيدِ: 16] He wept until his beard was wet with weeping, and he said: Yes, O Lord.
We ask God Almighty to soften our hearts with the Qur’an, and to grant us abundant recitation of it, contemplation of it, and acting upon it. Indeed, He is All-Hearing and Answering.
And I say this and ask forgiveness from God for me and for you…
The second sermon
Praise be to God, many good and blessed praises to Him, as our Lord loves and is pleased with, and I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, with no partner. I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family and companions and those who follow their guidance until the Day of Judgment.
As for next: So fear God and obey Him. ﴿ O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you, that you may become righteous. ﴾ [
O Muslims: التَّأَثُّرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ نِعْمَةٌ يَمُنُّ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى بِهَا عَلَى مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ، فَإِنْ كَانَ مُؤْمِنًا ازْدَادَ إِيمَانًا وَيَقِينًا؛ As God Almighty said: ﴾ [الْأَنْفَالِ: 2]And God Almighty said: And when a surah is revealed, some of them say, “Which of you has this increased faith?” As for those who believe, it has increased their faith, and they are They rejoice ﴾ [التَّوْبَةِ: 124]. How many infidels were influenced by the Qur’an and it led them to Islam. This is one of the blessings of the Qur’an. It is a blessed book, and no believer continues to read and ponder it without its blessing descending upon him in everything. So bless him in his time, in his life, in his work, in his family, in his money, and in his children.
As the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “مَنْ قَرَأَ حَرْفًا مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ بِهِ حَسَنَةٌ، وَالْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا، لَا أَقُولُ الم حَرْفٌ، وَلَكِنْ أَلِفٌ حَرْفٌ، وَلَامٌ A letter, and a meem is a letter“Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and said: A hasan, authentic, and strange hadith.
By His saying, Glory be to Him: ﴾ [التَّوْبَةِ: 125]And in another verse: ﴾ [الْإِسْرَاءِ: 46]; They leave him because they are unable to do so.
O people of the Qur’an: الْزَمُوا الْقُرْآنَ، وَاجْعَلُوا قِرَاءَتَهُ أَهَمَّ وَظَائِفِكُمُ الْيَوْمِيَّةِ بَعْدَ الْفَرَائِضِ، وَتَدَبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ، وَافْهَمُوا مَعَانِيَهُ، وَاعْمَلُوا Follow His commands, avoid His prohibitions, stay within His limits, make it the way of your life, and meditate on whatever comfort you find. And the reassurance in reciting and listening to it on those blessed nights; So take your share from him before death comes between you and him. ﴿ ﴾ [ص: 29].
And may blessings and peace be upon your Prophet…
