O Muslims, beware of despair, beware of defeat and surrender. Live success, victory and empowerment even before it happens. Because it is inevitably fulfilled, and God does not break His promise
The believer lives by his trust in God and his trust in Him, optimistic about what God has promised him, and certain that the outcome is for the righteous, even if the surrounding circumstances are dark or the obstacles are great. Through the stories of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his companions, we learn how they experienced success before it was achieved, and how they remained steadfast in faith until victory came from God. Many of the people of the nation today are defeated before the end of the battle, fail before the end of the effort, and despair in the middle of the road, and these things are not among the characteristics of the true Muslim and the sincere believer who trusts in his trusting Lord.
Servants of God, in the Battle of the Trench, the scene was intense and difficult for the Muslims. As parties gathered from everywhere wanting to eliminate Islam, the Muslims were in a state of hunger, fear, and siege, until God Almighty said about them: {And when the eyes turned astray and the hearts reached the throats and you entertained false suspicions about God.} [الأحزاب: 10].
In this difficult situation, while the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was digging the trench with his companions, they were blocked by a huge rock that they were unable to break. So the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, came and took the pickaxe and hit it, saying: “In the name of GodAnd at the first blow he said: “God is great, I have been given the keys to Damascus»! Then he hit the second one and said: «God is great, Persia was conquered»! Then he struck the third time and said: «God is great, I have been given the keys to Yemen»!.
Consider, beloved ones, in a time of siege, hunger, and fear, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, gives good tidings to his companions about the conquest of the greatest kingdoms on earth. This is faith in God and certainty of His victory. In another situation that reinforces this certainty, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was on the way to migrate to Medina, and Suraqa bin Malik went out after him, hoping for a reward. When he realized that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, invited him to Islam, and said to him: “How would you be if you wore Khosrow’s bracelets?“Saraqa, a polytheist at that time, listens to this strange promise. Khosrau is the greatest king on earth at that time, and yet the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, saw this bright future, and days passed, and the era of Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, came, and the kingdom of Persia was conquered, and the rings of Khosrau’s bracelets were worn. What certainty is this?! What trust in God?!
O believers, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, says: “I saw in a dream that my friends were riding the sea like kings on their beds“; [ (رواه البخاري) ].
This hadith took place in Mecca before the Muslims had a force or army. However, the Prophet gave his companions good news that they would invade the sea, and the first to fulfill this promise was the venerable companion Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan, may God be pleased with him. Among his bright words, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was his saying: “They will reach this matter as long as the night and the day have reached, and God will not leave a house of mud or wool without God admitting it to this religion, by the honor of the Mighty or by the submissiveness of the humble.“; [ (رواه أحمد) ].
This promise was made at a time when Islam seemed to be besieged, and yet the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his companions lived this certainty. They worked and exerted themselves until Islam spread to the east and west of the earth, and also what Al-Bukhari reported from the hadith of Khabbab bin Al-Art, may God be pleased with him, who said: We complained to The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was leaning against his cloak in the shade of the Kaaba. We said: Will you not seek victory for us? Don’t you pray for us? He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “It was before you that a man would be taken and dug for him in the ground and put into it, then a saw would be brought and placed on his head and cut into two halves, and his flesh and bone would be combed with iron combs. This would not keep him from his religion. By God, this matter will be made possible until the passenger travels from Sana’a to Hadhramaut. He fears none but God, and the wolf is against his sheep, but you are in a hurry“. This promise was fulfilled, as security and safety prevailed during the time of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and the roads became safe, thanks to God and the application of His law.
Brothers, the Holy Qur’an is full of stories that reinforce the concept of experiencing success, victory, and relief and their occurrence. This Joseph, peace be upon him, lived with the certainty of success while he was in prison, and he said to his two companions: {O companions of the prison, as for one of you, he gives his master wine to drink.} [يوسف: 41]And he knew that God would release him from prison, and that his visions would come true, and this Moses, peace be upon him, when Pharaoh and his soldiers caught him at the sea, his people said: {Indeed, we are aware} [الشعراء: 61]Moses replied with confidence: {No, my Lord is with me. He will guide me} [الشعراء: 62].
O Muslims, beware of despair, beware of defeat and surrender. Live success, victory and empowerment even before it happens. Because it is inevitably fulfilled, and God does not break His promise.
Praise be to God, that is enough, and peace be upon His chosen servants. As for what follows:
Servants of God, Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him, said in the cave: O Messenger of God, if one of them looked under his feet, he would see us, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him: «O Abu Bakr, what do you think of two people, of whom God is the third?»?, Ibn al-Qayyim, may God have mercy on him, said: If doors are closed in your face, remember that God may open a door for you that has not occurred to you.
O Muslims, we must trust God’s promise and work to achieve the goals that Islam has set for us. Experiencing success and victory means that we plan, strive, work hard, rely on God, and make every effort we can, and we must be patient during crises, for every obstacle is a part of it. On the path to success, God Almighty said: {Indeed, with hardship comes ease} [الشرح: 6]The Muslim must also be optimistic and not despair, nor be defeated or surrender, for he is in the presence of God, His mercy, and His sovereignty. The Almighty said: {And do not despair of the Spirit of God} [يوسف: 87].
Servants of God, we must instill hope in others. Optimism and positivity are transmitted to those around us and motivate them to work and succeed.
O fellow believers, let us be among those who believe in God’s promise, working to fulfill it, and let us live in a spirit of hope and optimism, certain that relief is near, that victory comes with patience, and ease comes with hardship.
Servants of God, in light of the grave events taking place on the blessed land of Palestine and Gaza, which, despite their severity, represent signs of the imminent fulfillment of God’s promise and His victory over the Zionist occupiers and aggressors; In today’s ongoing battle, the idol of the Zionist state has fallen, the image of its army has been shattered, and a group of believers in whom the description of God Almighty has been true has been disgraced. Our servants were endowed with great might, and they spied through the lands, and it was a promise fulfilled.} [الإسراء: 5].
