On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The one who is advised is trustworthy.”
[صحيح] – [رواه أبو داود والترمذي وابن ماجه]
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The advisor is trusted“.
[صحيح] – [رواه أبو داود والترمذي وابن ماجه]
the explanation
The advisor from whom he seeks advice and the best opinion is trustworthy in the matters he is asked about. He should not betray the advisor by showing harm to the advisor and concealing the benefit from him. Accordingly, a person should not consult anyone who has an interest that conflicts with him in the matter in which he is being advised, and he should be experienced or knowledgeable about that matter.
One of the benefits of talking
- The one from whom advice is sought must be honest in what he says, and it is not permissible for him to deceive or betray.
- There is no fine on the advisor if he makes a mistake in what he indicated, just as the trustee is not fined if the deposit deposited with him is destroyed without negligence or transgression on his part.
