The month of Ramadan is the month of patience
Praise be to God, the guardian of the righteous, the supporter of the oppressed, the vanquisher of the tyrants and the oppressors, and I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, with no partner, neither in His lordship nor divinity, nor in His names and attributes. May blessings and peace be upon the Imam of the Mujahideen, the leader of the glorified tribes, the master of the prophets and messengers, and upon his companions, the protectors of the religion, who gave their money and their lives in order to support the Clear Book and the Sunnah of the Master. Messengers, and those who follow them in goodness and jihad until the Day of Judgment.
O people, God Almighty created human beings, and He tested them to worship Him, and He promised them Paradise if they obeyed Him, and if they disobeyed, then Hell is their abode. He placed preachers on the path to Paradise calling people to it and urging them to enter it, and He placed preachers on the path to Hell who drag people to it and throw them into it. The path to Paradise is fraught with hardships, full of obstacles, surrounded by trials, and the path to Hell is fraught with trials. With desires, decorated with decorations, full of what people desire to follow, and therefore those who follow it are more than those who walk the path to Paradise, and the people of Hell are more than the people of Paradise. As indicated by the hadiths.
For this reason – O servants of God – the servant who wants to be saved from torment and gain Paradise – must be patient with himself in acts of obedience, patient with desires, and remain steadfast in trials, standing by the command of his Lord, steadfast in his religion until he meets God Almighty. O you who have believed, be patient and steadfast and be firm and fear God that you may succeed. ﴾ [آل عمران:200].
O believers, patience is a great character, linked to all the positions of religion, but its names differ because of its different locations. If it is in restraining oneself due to a calamity, it is called patience, and if it is in fighting, it is called courage, and if it is in restraining one’s words, it is called secrecy, and if it is about the curiosity of living, it is called asceticism, and if it is about the desire for chastity, it is called chastity, and if it is about the desire for food, it is called honor of the soul, and if it is about self-honour, The answer to the reason for anger is called a dream. All of these values refer in their meaning to patience, and in order for a person to develop them, he needs patience!
Patience is the foundation of every beautiful character, and a means to refrain from every reprehensible character. Because of its great importance, it is mentioned in the Holy Qur’an more than seventy times, with different wording. It is one of the determinations of things that one must be careful about and be determined to perform. As God Almighty said: And whoever is patient and forgives, this is for those who resolve matters. ﴾ [الشورى:43].
O believers, our beloved Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, named this month in which you fast the month of patience. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: “Fasting is the month of patience and three days of each, the month of fasting forever.” Narrated by Ahmed. This month of yours is the month of patience, and how can it not be the month of patience when we abstain from food and drink for long hours in it! How can it not be the month of patience when we are patient at all times in reading the Qur’an, reciting it, repeating it, and studying it time after time?! How can it not be the month of patience when we keep our legs straight for nights?! How can it not be the month of patience when we seclude ten days in the houses of God in awareness of Laylat al-Qadr?! How can it not be the month of patience when we are trying hard to keep our tongues from uttering insults, insults, or false statements?!
Patience piled on top of each other. Of abstaining from forbidden actions and racing in righteous deeds, and when God Almighty said: Only those who are patient will be given their reward in full, without reckoning. ﴾ [الزمر: 10]God Almighty said: (Fasting is for me and I will reward itAnd it is possible that the reward of the generous, generous and giving person will be nothing but a reward without reckoning, equal to equal, and when our beloved Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Patience is radiance, and our Messenger, the apple of our eyes, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Fasting is a shield.
If fasting is a shield, protection, and a strong fortress from transgressions and sins in this world, and from Hell in the Hereafter, then it is without a doubt a light by which the believer is illuminated by the light of faith, a light by which the believer is illuminated by the pleasure, ease, and beauty of obedience, and a light that radiates a light that conveys to him the satisfaction of the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful, and there is a difference between A light that radiates light through obedience, and a darkness that extinguishes the light of faith, inflames the hearts’ distress and cruelty, and kindles the burning hell in their chests.
And when we, O believers, were patient in abandoning food, drink, and intimacy with our wives for long hours, while we needed it; Because they are the basis for the survival of human life, we can abstain from what God Almighty has forbidden to us of the sins of our limbs, which are harmful to us in this world and the hereafter. And if the sin is the attainment of a soul’s desire, a reckless whim, and a moment’s forgetfulness, then after that attainment is nothing but tightness in the chest that surrounds it from all sides, and what comes after the happiness of the moment is nothing but misery and misery, and what comes after continuing in sins and transgressions is nothing but addiction. It is a curse that strikes the heart, and one cannot abandon it except with great difficulty. Sin before committing it is easy without trying it, and it does not cost the believer great struggle, but after taking one step in committing it, a person needs a bitter treatment and a painful and painful medicine.
Servants of God, whoever wants to remove from his chest the deceit and hatred, or his anger, or his hypocrisy, or the strongest anger towards him, let him fast the month of patience, and three days of every month, as fasting them removes the heat from the chest. As your beloved Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, said so.
How can a Muslim not be characterized by patience, when patience is one of the morals of the prophets and messengers?! God Almighty said about them: And Ishmael, Idris, and Dhul-Kifl, all of them were patient. ﴾ [الأنبياء: 85]. And the Almighty said to His Noble Prophet Muhammad: So be patient as those of resolve among the messengers were patient, and do not rush them. ﴾ [الأحقاف: 35].
May God bless you and me with the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and benefit me and you with the verses and wisdom they contain. I say what you hear and I ask God’s forgiveness for me and you, and for all other Muslims, for every sin and sin. Ask forgiveness from Him, for He is Forgiving and Merciful.
The second sermon
Praise be to God, the praise of those who are thankful, and I praise Him with the praise of those who remember. I cannot count the praise for Him. He is just as He praised Himself. I bear witness that there is no god but God alone with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace and upon all his family and companions. Now, O believers, servants of God, fear God Almighty, and observe Him, Glory be to Him, as one who knows that his Lord hears and sees him, and know, servants of God, that patience is one of the characteristics of the pious believers. God Almighty said after mentioning the characteristics of the servants of the Most Merciful in Surah Al-Furqan: They will be rewarded with patience because they were patient, and they will receive therein a greeting and peace. * They will abide therein in good stability and station. ﴾ [الفرقان: 75، 76].
Yes – O Muslims – whoever does not purify his heart during Ramadan and purify himself during it, and his will is not strengthened and his resolve is true, and he does not conquer himself and overcome… His lust, and he did not give up grudges and grudges, nor did he get rid of argument and stubbornness, so when might he attain these virtues?!
O believers, there are manifestations that contradict the meaning of patience in this month. Whoever’s fast is broken by being negligent in the obligatory prayers, sleeping in congregation, being lazy in performing the voluntary prayers and neglecting them, And in the Tarawih prayers and standing in prayer, he opened his sight and relaxed his hearing, and let his tongue loose in what God had forbidden to him, and he was satisfied with fasting by abstaining from food and deprivation of drink, so that His portion of fasting is only hunger and thirst, and since he was not patient during Ramadan while the devils were imprisoned, he is less patient and more anxious during a non-Ramadan. And he is more reckless and despicable to follow the desires of his weak soul, leading to evil, which struck him in Ramadan while the devils were chained and shackled. So how? If you gathered to do it with them during a period other than Ramadan?!
Indeed, let us fear God – O Muslims – and let us be patient in obeying God and what pleases Him with us, and let us be patient in disobeying Him and what brings His wrath upon us, so that we may overcome our desires. And let us conquer ourselves, and let us accustom it to goodness, and train it to obedience, and train it to do good, and let us take it seriously and diligently, and let us beware. Laziness and the love of comfort and meekness. Whoever wants to enjoy eternal comfort and eternal bliss in the Hereafter is not distracted by the fleeting debris of this world. Since bliss cannot be achieved by bliss, and there is no comfort for one who has no fatigue, and no joy for one who has no worries, and no pleasure for one who has no patience, and no bliss for one who has no misery, The nobler the soul and the higher the aspiration, the more fatigue the body will have and the less rest it will have.) O you who have believed, be patient and steadfast and be firm and fear God that you may succeed. ﴾ [آل عمران: 200].
O fasting person, remember the words of God Almighty – while you are fasting from forbidden things, patient in acts of obedience, and victorious over desires and whims – as stated in the authentic hadith: ((For every deed of the son of Adam, a good deed is multiplied ten times to seven hundred times, God said – Almighty – except fasting, for it is for Me and I will reward it. He gives up his desires and food for My sake) Narrated by Muslim.
Pray for the Beloved, the Chosen One, and the Prophet who is chosen, for God has commanded you to do so in His Book, and He, the Mighty and Most Wise of the One who says, said: Indeed, God and His angels bless the Prophet. O you who have believed, bless him and grant him peace. ﴾ [الأحزاب: 56]Our beloved Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: ((Whoever sends a blessing upon me, may God’s blessings be upon him ten times)).
