﴿And do not think that those who were killed in the cause of God are dead; rather, they are alive with their Lord, being provided for…﴾
God Almighty said:﴿And do not think that those who were killed in the cause of God are dead; rather, they are alive with their Lord, being provided for.*They rejoice in what God has given them of His bounty, and they rejoice over those behind them who have not joined them. There is no fear for them, nor will they grieve.*They rejoice in a blessing from God and bounty, and that God does not waste the reward of the believers.*Those who responded to God and the Messenger after the affliction had afflicted them – for those among them who did good and feared a great reward.*Those to whom the people said, “The people have gathered against you, so fear them,” and it increased their faith, and they said, “Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.”*So they turned back with God’s grace and bounty. No harm touched them, and they followed God’s pleasure, and God is the Possessor of great bounty.*It is Satan who intimidates his friends, so do not fear them, but fear them if you are believers.(Al Imran: 169-175).
1-Those who are killed in the cause of God are not dead, but rather alive with their Lord, a special life of barzakh, and one should not think that they are dead. For God Almighty says:And do not think that those who were killed in the way of God are dead.﴾.
2-The virtue of jihad and martyrdom for the sake of God; Because of the greatness of what God has prepared for those who are killed in His cause, He has provision, bounty, and colors of bliss. For God Almighty says:And do not think that those who were killed in the cause of God are dead; rather, they are alive with their Lord, being provided for.﴿ The verses.
On the authority of Anas – may God be pleased with him – on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: “There is no servant who dies for whom God is good and who would be pleased to return to the world, and that he has the world and everything in it, except the martyr because he sees the virtue of martyrdom, for he would be pleased to return to the world and be killed again.»[1].
On the authority of Jaber – may God be pleased with him – he said: When my father was killed on the day of Uhud, I started crying and revealing the garment from his face, so the Companions of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, began to forbid me, but the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, did not forbid him, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Don’t make him cry, or make you cry. The angels still shaded him with their wings until he was lifted up»[2].
On his authority – may God be pleased with him – he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to me: “Did you not know that God revived your father? He said to him: Have mercy on me. He said to him: I will be returned to this world and be killed again. He said: I have fulfilled the ruling that they will not return to it.»[3].
In a narration on his authority – may God be pleased with him – he said: “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, met me and said to me:Oh Jaber, why do I see you broken?“? I said: O Messenger of God, my father was martyred and left behind children and debt. He said: «Shall I not give you good news of what God met your father with?“? He said: Yes, O Messenger of God. He said: «God never spoke to anyone except from behind a veil, and He brought your father back to life and spoke to him with a struggle, and said: O my servant, make a wish upon me and I will grant you. He said: Bring me back to life and I will be killed for you again. The Lord Almighty said: It has already been stated by me that they will not return, and this verse was revealed:And do not think that those who were killed in the cause of God are dead; rather, they are alive with their Lord, being provided for.﴾»[4].
3-Entertaining the living from their dead, comforting them, and activating them to fight and expose them to martyrdom.
4-Proving that the prophets are alive with their Lord, a life of barzakh with their souls; Because if this is proven for the martyrs, then the prophets are more likely to do so. Because the rank of the prophets is higher than that of the martyrs, in addition to what God Almighty has designated for the prophets by prohibiting their bodies on earth.[5].
The verse also invalidates those who claim that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, is alive in his grave, using as evidence the verse, and that the rank of prophecy is higher than the rank of martyrdom. There is no problem in the fact that the rank of prophecy is higher than the rank of martyrdom. The verse only indicates the life of the martyrs, a barzakh life with only their souls and not the life of their bodies. So how can it be used as evidence of the life of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in his grave with his body? What is correct is that the life of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, is the life of the martyrs. It is the life of Barzakh, the life of the soul only.
5-Proof of the bliss of Al-Barzakh, and the greatness of what God has prepared for the martyrs in their life in Al-Barzakh, such as their high status with Him in the abode of His dignity, their closeness to Him, their provision, their joy and good news about their brothers who will join them, their safety from fear and sadness, and their rejoicing in God’s grace and favour. For God Almighty says:They rejoice in what God has given them of His bounty, and they rejoice over those behind them who have not joined them. There is no fear for them, nor will they grieve.*They rejoice in a blessing from God and bounty, and that God does not waste the reward of the believers.﴾.
In this way, God combined for them the bliss of the body through provision, the bliss of the soul through joy and glad tidings, security from fear and sadness, between sensory bliss and moral bliss, between the achievement of what is desired and the disappearance of what is feared.
6-The souls of the martyrs meet and preach to each other.

10-God Almighty’s praise of the Companions – may God be pleased with them – for their response to God and the Messenger by going out to the polytheists after Uhud despite the great affliction they were in, and goodness, piety, and increased faith. For God Almighty says:Those to whom the people said, “The people have gathered against you, so fear them,” and it increased their faith, and they said, “Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.”﴾.
11-Responding to the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, is a response to God Almighty. For God Almighty says:Those who responded to God and the Messenger) With the deletion of the factor: “They responded,” and the lam is from the conjunction, which is his saying: ﴿And the Messenger﴾.
12-It is permissible to connect the name of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, or to describe it with the name of God Almighty with the waw, which requires associating partners, in the chapter of legislation, command, prohibition, obedience, disobedience, response, and the like. 20-God Almighty is the only One who suffices and suffices, so whoever seeks Him, He will suffice him, protect him, and protect him from all evils. If all of creation were to gather against him, they would not be harmed by anything bad. For God Almighty says:God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairsAnd he said:So they turned around by God’s grace and bounty, and no harm touched them.﴾.
21-God – the Almighty – is the best “disposer of affairs” entrusted to Him with the affairs of His creation, the Sufficient One for those who trust in Him. For God Almighty says:And He is the best disposer of affairs﴾.
22-Proof of the name of God Almighty:The agent﴾; For God Almighty says:And He is the best disposer of affairs﴾.
23-The desirability of saying this wordGod is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs﴾,Especially when grief and great matters; Because of its great impact, Abraham – peace be upon him – said it when he was thrown into the Fire, and Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, said it when they said to him:People have gathered against you, so fear them.﴾.
So God made the fire coolness and peace for Abraham, and Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his companions returned with God’s grace and grace, and no harm touched them.
24-The achievement of the Companions – may God be pleased with them – by their response to God and the Messenger, and their seeking God’s sufficiency – the Almighty – and their trust in Him for both interests; The first is their return with God’s grace and favour, without harm touching them, and the second is their following the pleasure of God Almighty.
So they were spared from meeting the enemy and the war, and they received the reward of this battle, and they won by following God’s pleasure by responding to God and the Messenger, and whoever follows God’s pleasure, God will reward him and honor him.
