Chapter on the virtue of praying upon the ProphetMay God bless him and grant him peace
** God Almighty said:﴿Indeed, God and His angels bless the Prophet. O you who have believed, bless him and grant him peace.﴾[Al-Ahzab: 56].
Al-Nasa’i narrated on the authority of Abdullah bin Abi Talha, on the authority of his father, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came one day and good news was seen on his face, and he said: “Gabriel, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, came to me and said: Would you not be satisfied, O Muhammad, that no one from your nation should pray over you except that I prayed for him ten times, and that no one from your nation should greet you except that I greeted him ten times?“; [Good].
** Abu Sulayman al-Darani said: Whoever wants to ask God for his need, let him begin by praying for the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, then let him ask God for his need, and conclude by praying for the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. God Almighty accepts the two prayers, and He is too generous to leave what is between them.
