The test of this world and the test of the hereafter
First sermon
Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds. O God, praise be to You through faith, praise be to You through Islam, praise be to You through the Qur’an, O Lord, praise be to Him no one can praise except You, O One to Whom all creatures endure, the doors of every kingdom have been closed, and I saw your door wide and unblockable.
Who asked you what you gave him? Who called you and what did you answer?
Knower of the unseen, Forgiver of sins, Screen of faults, Revealer of distress, Appreciator of the written, His names and attributes are evident, His dominion is in the sky, His dominion is on earth, His greatness is in the sea, His mercy is in heaven, and His power and torment are in hell.
I bear witness that there is no god but God alone with no partner, a testimony under which we live, for which we live, and upon which we meet God, Blessed and Most High.As for what follows:
For the most truthful speech is the word of God, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the worst of matters are newly invented matters, and every newly invented matter in the religion is an innovation, and every innovation in the religion is a misguidance. May God protect me and you from Hell.
﴿O you who have believed, fear God as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims.(Al Imran: 102).
﴿O people, fear your Lord who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from them many men and women, and fear Allah who By him you will question the relatives. Indeed, God has been a watcher over you.(An-Nisa: 1).
Servants of God:
The greatest issue a person must be preoccupied with is the issue of his existence, his life, and his purpose, and the issue of his future, destiny, misery, and happiness. Is there anything greater than a person losing himself, his family, and his happiness?
That is why God Almighty said:
﴿Say: Indeed, the losers are those who lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Is that not the clear loss?(Al-Zumar: 15).
There are lessons in the events around us, and there are lessons in them to be learned. Houses these days are preparing for exams, high school students, middle school students, and university students. Everyone is prepared, everyone is prepared, everyone is afraid of exams in which a person will be honored or humiliated. This is a praiseworthy effort and a rewarded work if the intention is good.
This world is a place of testing, a place of study, a place of work, a place of preparation for this world and the hereafter, and for this reason the Almighty said:
﴿They only see one cry that will seize them while they are quarreling.*They are not able to make a recommendation, nor can they return to their families.﴾ [Yasin: 49, 50].
Fellow Muslims, let us compare the test of this world with the test of the afterlife:
The test of this world is in a few papers, but the test of the afterlife is in a book:
﴿He does not leave out any thing, whether small or great, without counting it, and they find present what they did, and your Lord does not wrong anyone.(Al-Kahf: 49).
And God Almighty said:
﴿And you will see every nation kneeling, every nation called to its book. Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.*This is Our Book that speaks truth to you. Indeed, We used to abrogate what you used to do.(Al-Jathiya: 28, 29).
And God Almighty said:
﴿Everything, big and small, is underlined(Al-Qamar: 53).
The tests of this world are limited questions, while the tests of the afterlife are questions about actions, words, money, intentions, beliefs, times, and trusts.
God Almighty said:
﴿By your Lord, We will certainly question them all.*About what they were doing(Al-Hijr: 92, 93).
And God Almighty said:
﴿Stop them, they are responsible(Al-Saffat: 24).
The test of this world is in a favorable atmosphere, while the test of the afterlife is in a terrible atmosphere:
﴿On the day the earth will be changed into another earth, and the heavens and the heavens will emerge for God, the One, the Supreme.(Ibrahim: 48).
And God Almighty said:
﴿On the day you see it, every nursing woman will be astonished at what she has suckled, and every pregnant female will give birth to her child, and you will see people drunk, but they will not be drunk, but it is a punishment. God is severe(Al-Hajj: 2).
The test of this world is an hour of the day, but the test of the Hereafter is in a day:
﴿On a day the size of which was fifty thousand years(Al-Ma’arij: 4).
When the criminals live that long day with its extreme horror, they swear solemn oaths that they only stayed for an hour.
God Almighty said:
﴿And on the Day when the Hour arrives, the criminals will swear that they did not stay more than an hour. Thus they were to be punished.(Al-Rum: 55).
Covens of united Muslims:
The observer in this world is a creature with limited abilities. He may forget or be negligent. You will find students who cheat, those who talk to their colleagues, and the professor who is inattentive. As for the observer of the test in the afterlife, He is God Almighty:
﴿God, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Ever-Subsisting. Neither sleep nor sleep can overtake Him(Al-Baqarah: 255).
Failure in this world is easy and can be compensated for, but failure in the afterlife can never be compensated for.
And God Almighty said:
﴿And if you could see, when they came to their Lord, He said, “Is this not the truth?” They said, “Yes, by our Lord.” He said, “So taste the torment because you disbelieved.” Those who disbelieved have already lost. They denied the meeting with God(Al-An’am: 30, 31).
And God Almighty said:
﴿Until, when the Hour came to them suddenly, they said, “Alas, what we have neglected in it.” And they were carrying their burdens on their backs. Will it not be bad? They visit*And the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement, but the Hereafter is better for those who fear. Will you not understand?(Al-An’am: 31, 32).
I say what you heard, and I ask forgiveness from God Almighty for me and for you, so ask forgiveness from Him. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
The second sermon
Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and I send my prayers and greetings upon the Messenger as a mercy to the worlds. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, his family and companions, and whoever follows his path and follows in his footsteps until the Day of Judgment.As for what follows:
Competing for the world, neglecting work, and preoccupying yourself with amusement and pleasures lead to a bad ending.
If we want God to improve our ending, we must improve our deeds.
And look at that old, old man who approached the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, his back bent and his bones softened. He came dragging his steps until he stood in front of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said:
O Messenger of God, have you seen a man who committed all sins and did not neglect any of them, and in doing so he did not abandon any need or household without coming to it? Is there any repentance for that?
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him: “Have you converted to Islam?
He said: As for me, I bear witness that there is no god but God and that you are the Messenger of God.
He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
You do good deeds and leave bad deeds, and God will make them all good for you.
The Sheikh said: And my betrayals and dawns, O Messenger of God?
He, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Yes, so the sheikh began to say “Allahu Akbar” until he disappeared.
[The Great Dictionary and Musnad Al-Bazzar, and Al-Mundhiri classed it as hasan, and Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani said: Its chain of transmission is according to the condition of authenticity].
God Almighty said:
﴿Say, O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of God. Indeed, God forgives all sins. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.(Al-Zumar: 53).
Let us return to God honestly, for God does not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.
Increase your piety, for you are leaving  And hasten to do good deeds among those who hasten Money and family are nothing but deposits The deposits must one day be returned |
I ask God, through His grace and generosity, to guide me and you to what He loves and is pleased with, and to make me and you among those who listen to what is said and follow the best of it.
O God, make faith beloved to us and beautify it in our hearts, and make disbelief, immorality, and disobedience hateful to us, and make us among the adults, O Lord of the Worlds.
Oh God, make this meeting of ours a merciful meeting, and make us separate after it infallible separation, and do not make among us, from us, or with us miserable or deprived, O Lord of the Worlds.
Oh God, do not remove us all from this place except with forgiven sins, praiseworthy efforts, acceptable work, and profitable trade that does not perish, O Mighty, O Forgiving.
Oh God, whoever among us is worried, relieve his worry, whoever is distressed, remove his distress, whoever is sick, heal him, whoever is in debt, pay off his debt, and whoever has a relative who dies, have mercy on his dead, O Most Merciful of the Merciful.
Oh God, protect our country and all Muslim countries from all evil and harm, and protect our country from temptations, both apparent and hidden.
Oh God, make this country safe, secure, prosperous and generous, and all other Muslim countries.
Oh God, whoever wants us, our country, or the Muslims to do well, guide him to all good, and whoever wants bad for us, make his plan to destroy him, keep him occupied with himself, and make his plot to kill him, O Powerful, O Mighty.
Oh God, grant victory to the oppressed Muslims everywhere. Oh God, be their supporter, helper, and supporter, O Lord of the Worlds.
Servants of God, pray and greet the Messenger as a mercy to the worlds. God has commanded you to do so and said:
﴿Indeed, God and His angels bless the Prophet. O you who have believed, bless him and grant him peace.(Al-Ahzab: 56).
O God, may your blessings and peace be upon your servant and Messenger Muhammad, and upon all his family and companions.
﴿Indeed, God commands justice, charity, and giving to relatives, and forbids indecency, abomination, and transgression. He exhorts you, so that you may remember.(Al-Nahl: 90).
Remember God Almighty, He will remember you, and thank Him for His blessings, He will increase you, and the remembrance of God is greater, and God knows what you do.
And pray.
